Lower Level Framing

Monday July 26th - Framing in lower level is complete

Media room window

Looking out of the media room into the entry and (to be) stairway. The utility room is the room with the plywood in it.

Slightly different view out of media room looking through the guest bathroom and into the guest bedroom. I'm standing in the lower level entry/stair well.

Week 13: The house movers came back and removed the cribbing and I-beams, including unwelding the steal support beam. The house is back on its foundation, no more cribbing in the basement! Once the new joists are in, we can remove the extra bracing.

Week 14: Joing hanging began - its a slow process. Cut some support away, move wires and plumbing then hang a couple of joists. The plumbers came out on 7/16 and turned off gas to the stove and took away our hot water in the kitchen.

Before hanging joists more demo had to be done to remove stucco from the side of the house.

Week 15: Joist hanging done! The house no longer needs temporary support (except where staircase is to go).

Week 16: Framing has begun. Many of the lower level walls are now up so we can get an initial feel for the floor layout.

We now have a new laundry room - not exactly what I was hoping for but it will do until the real one is built.

Week 17: Framing in lower level is complete
