We decided to have Pam's Dad, a mason, to come from Buffalo, NY to build our new fireplace.

Then Dad arrives in San Jose to build us a fireplace.

September 22th Day 3: Firebox herringbone and side walls.
Septemeber 23rd Day 4: Partial day: Flue and smoke chamber
September 24th Day 5: Final block and transition plate placement
