Finished forms for fireplace foundation. Not the neatest forms but we had to deal with a 100 year old house and integrate that into our new basement wall.
It was hot so while Alan cut I sat in the "air conditioner" (under the house).
A little bit more old house had to go.
Al's under the house and I'm locking him in!
August 7
We began to place the forms for the fireplace.
First we had to go "shopping" in the dumpster for wood to use as forms.
Then we placed the foundation (lower level) forms.
Next, we placed the upper stem wall forms.
We didn't quite get done the first day.

We dug out the hole for the fireplace foundation. Well, Alan dug. I hauled dirt and supervised! :)
