The slate installation was completed just before the new year.

Marco, our painter, has been here for most of the past two weeks. They have all of the trim prepared for painting. Downstairs both the Media room and Guest room are painted. Up next is the guest bathroom and after the hardwood is done the remaining upstairs rooms.
The Guest room is a Pumpkin color (its also currently serving as a storage location for some of our furniture since the upstairs had to be vacated for the hardwood floor refinishing:
The Media room is a more Golden Color. Shown is the design Alan and I came up with on New Year's Eve to make the accent wall:

They started installing the hardwood floors on Wednesday and have almost all of it installed. For some of next week we will be completely blocked from the front of the house and will need to use our bedroom window to get in/out of the house - should be fun...
A view down the hall from our bedroom to Alan's office. The door on the left is the Laundry Room/Bathroom door. Past that on the left is the staircase and on the far right is the kitchen. On the immediate left is a little nook in the wall aimed at breaking up the hall after it is painted.

The vanity in the Guest Bath was installed earlier this week. Its missing its counter top so it looks a bit naked yet.
